In case you were wondering...
If you've already had COVID-19, do you really need to be vaccinated?

"That's a great question because when somebody has natural infection the assumption is that they have immunity. In fact, it is the case that they do have immunity to having the same strain of that virus again within a certain period of time. The problem is that the virus is changing so that it doesn't offer a broad level of immunity and certainly not as broad as the vaccines, and we don't think it offers durable immunity. We don't know how long vaccine immunity lasts but we know at least six months for the vaccines that have been studied. We hope a year or more and we have seen reinfection occur within those periods of time. Vaccines are intended to have durable immunity and mount a really robust immune response that will lead to lasting immunity. That's the hope." - Dr. Phillips
